
Apple Sues OpenAI, Alleging It Asked Active Employees to Steal Hardware Designs
Apple filed a lawsuit against OpenAI in July alleging that OpenAI's hardware chief asked job candidates still working at Apple to bring actual phone and watch parts, design files, and prototypes to their interviews. The accusation extends beyond the typical disputes when employees leave one company for another. It raises a novel legal question: can a company's hiring process itself be considered theft.
