SpaceX's Huge Valuation Depends on Space Data Centers That Haven't Been Built Yet

SpaceX is valued at two trillion dollars partly because of plans to put data centers in orbit. But during investment presentations, SpaceX admitted it will need to throw away parts of its rocket in early launches, losing a key cost advantage. Real flights will have to prove whether this space-based computing idea actually works.
