Trump Empties the Agency That Oversees U.S. Elections

President Trump has fired the last two Democrats from an agency Congress created to check voting machines and fund elections fairly. The Republican member quit rather than be fired. The agency now has no one running it—never happened before—weeks before midterm elections. It's unclear if Trump will replace them or leave it empty.
