Microsoft Earns $10 Billion From OpenAI in One Quarter

Microsoft earned $10 billion from its deals with OpenAI, maker of ChatGPT, including revenue-sharing payments, in the three months ended September 30, 2026. That is nearly 11% of its $92.3 billion in total sales. Money OpenAI owed Microsoft reached $7.2 billion by September 30, up from $6 billion in June.
