Two ex-prime ministers team up to fix the PM's official residence

Former prime ministers Jean Chrétien and Stephen Harper are raising $50 million to renovate 24 Sussex Drive, the Prime Minister's official home. They're collecting the money from private donors, not taxpayers. Prime Minister Mark Carney started the project in late June; a winner for the renovation contract is expected by Canada Day 2027.
