Updating a modified PS5 past version 13.60 permanently removes the Relapse jailbreak, a hack unlocking restricted features. It works only up to 13.60, and you cannot downgrade. Grand Theft Auto VI, due November 19, reportedly needs version 14.10. Sony reportedly began blocking PlayStation Network (PSN) sign-ins for consoles below 14.10 in mid-October. Staying on 13.60 means losing PSN access.
