How a 50-year-old law is stopping a gang leader being sent out of Britain

A convicted grooming gang leader cannot be deported because of an old immigration law. Shabir Ahmed was jailed for 22 years and lost his British citizenship, but a rule protecting Commonwealth citizens who came before 1973 still applies to him. The Home Secretary must persuade Parliament to change this law.
