Goldman Sachs Lowers Its Forecast for South Korea's Stock Index

Goldman Sachs cut its one-year forecast for South Korea's main stock index, the KOSPI, 25% to 9,000 from 12,000 on October 25, 2026, per BusinessKorea. That still implies a gain of more than 60% from current levels. The index had dropped more than 35% from June's high. Bloomberg blamed the fading AI boom, which bears on Goldman's May memory-chip call.
