Apple invests $30 billion in U.S.-made phone chips through 2031

Apple and chipmaker Broadcom locked in a $30 billion deal to produce 15 billion wireless chips in Colorado through 2031. Apple is spending $1.5 billion to expand the manufacturing facility. These chips let phones connect to multiple wireless networks at once. Apple said the deal supports its broader U.S. investment commitments, though iPhones are still assembled elsewhere.
