Law Firm Weil Reportedly in Merger Talks After Earlier Denial

Weil, Gotshal & Manges is reportedly negotiating a merger with another law firm, according to The Wall Street Journal and Above the Law. In September, a company spokesperson, meaning someone who speaks for the firm, said Weil was not in merger talks. Reports come as Weil loses senior lawyers, including leadership committee members Drew Tulumelo and Caroline Zalka.
