Meta's Smart Glasses Now Stop Recording If You Break the Camera Light

Meta is forcing an update that turns off the camera on its AI glasses if the white light signaling recording is broken or removed. The older version already disabled the camera if you covered the light; now it also stops if you destroy it entirely. This follows public concern in July 2026 that the glasses could secretly record people.
