Iranian Attacks on Ships Threaten Global Oil Supplies

Iran attacked three commercial ships on July 7 in a narrow waterway between Iran and Oman that carries one-fifth of the world's oil supply. The strikes pushed oil prices up immediately and made shipping companies wary of sending tankers through the route.
