Major US Democrat Wants to Stop Annual Military Aid to Israel

Rahm Emanuel, who may run for president in 2028, said in Tel Aviv on July 8 that the US should stop sending Israel $3.8 billion a year for weapons and equipment. He also wants to punish Israeli settlers using violence. This breaks from other Democrats who usually ask for conditions on the aid—Emanuel wants it gone entirely. He blamed Israel's leader for making peace impossible.
