Anthropic's data from 1.2 million sessions shows AI agents spend most of their time on everyday office tasks—organizing reports, building checklists, matching spreadsheet data—rather than writing software. These administrative jobs made up 33% of all work, while coding was just 8.7%. The finding shows where AI is actually proving useful.
