Author Refuses to Promote Her Own Book-to-Film Adaptation

Tomi Adeyemi, who wrote the novel *Children of Blood and Bone*, says she won't watch or promote Paramount's film version coming January 2027—even though she helped write the screenplay. On TikTok, she explained there was conflict behind the scenes with the lead actress, Amandla Stenberg, leaving her "hurt and attacked." She keeps a say in the film but is staying out of its promotion entirely.
