New Zealand minister away as Indian leader visits

Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters will be overseas when India's Prime Minister arrives in Auckland on 11 July for the first visit in 40 years. Peters disagrees with a trade deal with India that was approved in Parliament right before the visit. Prime Minister Luxon says the timing is routine, but the absence raises questions.
