UK to send Ukraine air protection more quickly

Prime Minister Andy Burnham met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Downing Street on 14 October. Burnham said Britain would send equipment to block Russian missiles and drones more quickly. He said Britain “would forever stand by you” and Ukraine would not leave “empty-handed”. The meeting was described as reassuring European allies five years into Russia’s war.
