Far-Right Group Marches in Washington on Independence Day While Trump Holds Rally

Hundreds of masked members of Patriot Front, a far-right group based in Texas, marched through Washington on July 4, 2026, carrying Confederate flags and upside-down American flags toward Capitol Hill. Their leader, Thomas Rousseau, led the march as President Trump held a campaign event nearby. Police made no arrests and allowed the march under free speech protections.
