Jury Selection Starts to Decide Punishment for Buffalo Shooter

Jury picking starts Tuesday, Oct. 13, in the national-level trial of Payton Gendron for the 2022 Buffalo supermarket shooting that killed 10 Black people. He faces national charges over bias-driven crimes and gun use that can bring execution, and is already serving life in prison on separate state murder charges. Guilt is agreed; jurors choose the punishment.
