Medicare Now Covers Weight-Loss Drugs for $50 a Month

Medicare started covering three weight-loss drugs—Wegovy, Zepbound, and Foundayo—on July 1, 2026, with a $50 monthly copay for eligible members. These drugs normally cost over $1,000 monthly. The government is running this as a test through December 2027 to decide whether to make coverage permanent.
