Director Stole $11 Million Netflix Gave Him for TV Series

A court found that director Carl Erik Rinsch took a $11 million advance Netflix gave him for a science-fiction show and moved it to his own accounts instead of making the show. He lost most of the money betting on stocks. He'll be sentenced in April 2026 and faces prison time and will have to repay the money.
