Microsoft unveils $2,599 Surface Laptop Ultra with fast Nvidia chip

Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop Ultra at a San Francisco keynote. The $2,599 starting model uses Nvidia's RTX Spark chip, built like phone chips to save power. It has an eight-core processor, 24GB of short-term memory and 512GB for files, performs AI tasks at up to one petaflop, and arrives October 16.
