GCash's Owner Seeks Record $1.5 Billion Stock Listing in Philippines
Mynt, the company behind the popular payment app GCash, filed to sell shares publicly in Manila on 29 June 2026, aiming to raise up to $1.5 billion—a record for that stock exchange. Its main backer, Ant International, is the overseas division of China's Ant Group, which had its own much larger IPO blocked by Chinese officials in 2020. Choosing Manila over bigger financial hubs reflects local rules and worries about foreign companies controlling money-moving services.
