Bluesky Wants Its Own Ending for Website Addresses

Bluesky has asked to run .bsky as its own ending for website addresses, like .com or .org, CEO Toni Schneider said. The group that manages web addresses, ICANN, will make requests public on October 7, 2026. A final decision would take 18 to 24 months. Nothing has been approved yet.
