Italy Stops Car Carrying 300 Tortoises and 77 Parrots to Malta

Italy's finance police seized 300 tortoises and 77 parrots from a car at Pozzallo port in Sicily. The car was waiting for a fast boat to Malta. Police said it had too little space and no temperature control, like a hot trunk. The animals went to a care facility for breeding. A Maltese man allegedly tried to move them.
