North Korea fires missile into eastern sea, South Korea says

North Korea fired at least one missile — like a rocket used as a weapon — into the sea to its east on Oct. 2, 2026, South Korea's military said. South Korea warned more launches could follow. Officials have not confirmed how many fired or how far they flew, so official updates will show if it was one test or several.
