Carney plans short trip to Turkey to meet President Erdogan

Prime Minister Mark Carney plans a short official trip to Turkey in mid-October to meet President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Globe and Mail, citing two people who asked not to be named because they were not allowed to speak publicly, says it would be the first visit focused only on Canada-Turkey relations by a Canadian prime minister in recent history.
