Why U.S. Borrowing Costs Just Hit a 24-Year High

U.S. government borrowing costs hit a 24-year high on Oct. 1 as investors sold bonds worldwide, then eased to around 5.26%, Reuters reported. Yield is yearly interest on a government IOU. When it rises, Washington, homebuyers and firms pay more to borrow. I'm watching if selling spreads to all long-term loans.
