Supreme Court Allows Trump to End Protection for Haitian and Syrian Migrants
The Supreme Court cleared the way for the Trump administration to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS)—a program that lets migrants from certain countries stay and work in the U.S. legally. The 6-3 ruling eliminates the courts' ability to block such terminations, giving the government full power to set removal dates. Hundreds of thousands of Haitians and Syrians could now face deportation.
