Germany's Trains Stop Running After Radio System Breaks Down

All trains across Germany stopped for two to three hours on June 24 when the radio system connecting train crews to control centers stopped working. Train operators couldn't safely send trains out without being able to talk to drivers. Once the system came back online, trains slowly resumed service. The scale of the shutdown points to a failure in one critical control center, not a minor local problem.
