Former mayor Burnham must find a way back to Parliament

Andy Burnham was mayor of Greater Manchester but isn't an MP. Now running to lead Labour, he needs to either win a seat in Parliament or trigger a special election to return. His speed in doing so will determine whether party members see him as a credible leadership candidate or an outsider.
