Afghan Women Lose Their Only Way to Sell Online

Afghan women who made money selling embroidered textiles and crafts on social media have lost that income overnight. The Taliban restricted internet access in September 2025, cutting them off from online marketplaces. Already banned from most jobs, these women had turned to home-based craft work as their only path to earn money. That door just closed.
