Electric Trucks Get a Faster Refuel: Battery Swap Instead of Long Charging

Octopus Energy and battery maker CATL are launching Swaptopus, a network across Europe where electric trucks swap empty batteries for charged ones in minutes, rather than wait an hour or more at a charger. This keeps trucks on the road longer. The challenge: truck makers need to agree on one standard battery design so any truck can use any station—something Europe hasn't achieved yet.
