Wildfire Smoke in Indonesia Is Making People Sick

Smoke from Indonesia's wildfires has made about 175,000 people sick with breathing problems since August. Indonesia's Health Ministry reported 50,891 cases on 1 September, rising to 113,336 by 9 September. Thousands have needed hospital care for lung and airway infections in the thick, harmful smoke.
