Third Whale From Closed Park Dies in Chicago

Osiris, a 26-year-old female beluga whale, died Monday at Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, the aquarium said Sept. 23. She was one of 10 whales moved there after Marineland in Ontario closed in 2024. The aquarium says two others, Peekachu and Rain, died in late August and early September. Osiris had not eaten regularly since arriving in late July.
