Gen Z Is Earning More at Age 24—But It May Not Last

Young people born in the late 1990s are earning 12% more at age 24 than millennials earned at the same age. This breaks a losing streak: millennials actually made 8% less than the generation before them. The jump comes because employers are desperate to hire and wages have risen. Yet pay growth is expected to slow sharply, putting that advantage at risk.
