Two Brothers, Both Journalists, Killed in Gaza Two Months Apart

Ahmed Wishah, a cameraman for Al Jazeera, was killed June 20 in an Israeli airstrike on a refugee camp in Gaza. His brother Mohammed, also a journalist at the same news organization, had been killed roughly two months earlier in a separate attack. They are among twelve Al Jazeera journalists or media workers killed since October 2023. Colleagues remembered Ahmed as kind and principled. Two brothers from one family, working for the same outlet, dying weeks apart—nothing like this has happened before in this conflict.
