Qatar Is Trying to Get the U.S. and Iran Talking Again

Qatar says it is still working as a messenger to restart U.S.-Iran talks to end the U.S.-Israel war on Iran, Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari said in New York on September 20, 2026. It follows Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed's August trip to Tehran. In late August, President Trump said the U.S. was not talking to Iran.
