Why serious mental illness means a much shorter life in England

Adults in England living with severe mental illness die 15 to 20 years earlier than most people, and are 4.8 times more likely to die before age 75, according to a study of health-service data by the charity Rethink Mental Illness. It says doctors must treat body and mind together, not separately.
