PlanetScale Adds Smarter Text Search to Its Databases

PlanetScale made TIN, short for Text INdex, widely available September 16, 2026 for its Postgres and Neki databases. The search add-on works like a book index for stored writing, finding and-or-not combinations, exact phrases, nearby words, misspellings, fill-in-the-blank and pattern matches, whether or not capitals or accents match.
