A programmer says he may have solved a 50-year-old math puzzle

Dan Abramov says he believes he has solved a 50-year-old follow-up math puzzle from John Conway about numbers called omnific integers. He used Lean, a spell-checker for math, to check the steps. He explained the claim Sept. 18, 2026 on his personal blog overreacted.io in 'How I Vibed a Proof of Conway's Conjecture.' It is about breaking numbers into parts.
