Japan's Central Bank Posts Update to Borrowing Rules

On Sept. 18, 2026, Japan's central bank listed a change to its rulebook for steering short-term borrowing, for its September meeting, its public list shows. It also tweaked its system for banks' deposits at the bank and its green lending program. The titles show a policy change was posted, but list no new interest rates.
