Russia Starts Big Election During Ukraine War

Russians began voting Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, in a three-day election for the State Duma, Russia's law-making parliament. Results should come after voting ends Sunday. It is the ninth Duma and the first since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. I see it as a check on public feeling during wartime and how effectively officials bring voters out.
