Fire service sent for fraud check, minister says

The country's fire service has been sent to fraud investigators for a check, says Brooke van Velden, the minister in charge of Fire and Emergency New Zealand. She said the idea came from the service's governing board. The Serious Fraud Office looks into serious money wrongdoing.
