Base Labs, Hugging Face and Goodfire to make open AI safer

Baseten's Base Labs said Sept. 17 it will work with Hugging Face and Goodfire AI to build safety checks for openly shared AI, the kind anyone can download and reuse, like an open recipe. Started earlier in 2026, Base Labs will create and share ways to train and keep watch on that AI.
