Oil Route Open, U.S. Disputes Iran

The Strait of Hormuz, the waterway like a highway for the world's oil, is open, U.S. Central Command said Sept. 16, with ships passing. Spokesman Capt. Tim Hawkins rejected Iran's control claim, saying U.S. forces help trade ships while enforcing a blockade, a shipment block. This U.S. account needs outside checks for energy markets.
