AI Is Better at Physics Than Its Test Scores Suggest

Top AI systems are better at physics than standard tests suggest, say Ali Ansari and colleagues in a Sept. 11 early research paper (arXiv 2609.13009). After specialists checked and corrected the answer sheets for two physics quizzes, CritPt and CMT-Benchmark, on clearly asked questions, the authors say the tests are nearly topped out.
