Senate Talks About Stopping Unsafe AI Systems

U.S. Senate negotiators in September 2026 discussed making AI companies fix known major dangers and letting the government stop release of AI systems judged unsafe, like holding a car off the market, Reuters reported Sept. 11, 2026.
