Majority Disapproves of Trump's Economic Leadership Heading Into Midterms
A poll by NPR, PBS News and Marist released June 18 found 57% of Americans disapprove of how President Trump is handling the economy, while 36% approve. Historically, when this many people disapprove, the president's party loses seats in the midterm elections held two years into a term. Republicans are facing a real problem: voters' views on the economy strongly predict midterm results.
