NASA Picks Startup That Builds Rockets With 3D Printers for Mars Mission

NASA chose Relativity Space, a Los Angeles company that manufactures rockets using 3D printers, to build and manage spacecraft and launch vehicles for a Mars mission announced June 17, 2026. Relativity proved its technology works by launching a rocket successfully in March 2023—a first for a 3D-printed design.
